Sunbright Recovery Center is community-founded, community-funded, and built by people who have walked alongside recovery for more than twenty years.
Linda Spyres, LCSW, LAADC-CA, is the founder — and a funding partner — of Sunbright Recovery Center. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LAADC-CA, California Consortium of Addiction Programs & Professionals), she brings more than 20 years across diverse clinical settings, and has seen firsthand what changes lives — and what falls short.
Sunbright is her answer to what Northern California has needed for a long time: a community-rooted recovery center where every person is known by name, treated with dignity, and given the real tools to build a life beyond addiction.
Linda's work reaches well beyond addiction treatment. As a clinical social worker she has supported individuals and families on their journey to mental wellness with a client-centered, evidence-based approach — bringing that same clinical expertise, deep community relationships, and an unwavering belief that recovery is possible to every person who walks through these doors.

I've watched recovery happen for more than twenty years. It's real, it's possible, and it happens in safe places. So we built one — and the door is almost open.— Linda Spyres, LCSW, LAADC-CA · Founder & Funding Partner Healing Today. Hope for Tomorrow. Freedom for Life.
Faith O'Dell has spent the last five years working beside Linda — sharing the vision and helping carry it from an idea to a finished building. As Sunbright's Program Manager and Visionary, she's the driving force behind so much of what has made this center possible.
She's the one securing the donations that furnish each room, creating and running the fundraisers and community events, and building the relationships that keep this mission moving forward. On site daily, she'll be the front person for resident contact and community coordination — making sure that from the very first phone call, no one feels alone in the process.
Because of her commitment to this mission, Linda says she may not have kept moving forward without her. Sunbright is a shared vision — and Faith is the one who shows up, every day, to make it real. She is also the founding chair of the Sunbright Recovery Center Advisory Board.

This is more than a job to me. I've been working toward this for years — walking alongside Linda, learning every piece of it — because I believe in what we're building and the people we'll be serving.— Faith O'Dell · Program Manager & SUD Registered Counselor (SUDRC), Sunbright Recovery Center Every life worth fighting for.
Sunbright Recovery Center is preparing to open with one belief at its core: every person who walks through our doors deserves to be treated with dignity, met with compassion, and given real tools for lasting recovery.
Our 16-bed residential center in Red Bluff combines evidence-based therapy, faith-integrated support, and the warmth of a small community that learns your name and walks with you — through recovery, and long after.
We offer 30, 60, and 90-day residential programs for men and women, with services designed around what actually works — not what fits a billing code or fills a bed.
Recovery is a family journey. Sunbright is family-inclusive from day one — we believe healing goes deeper when the people who love you are part of the process.
Every donation goes directly toward furnishing, equipping, and operating the center — so we can serve the people of Northern California who need it most.
Most rehabs in California are owned by national chains. Sunbright is different. Every dollar — from donations and community support — goes back into care. Not profits. Not investors.
No upselling, no surprise charges, no quarterly earnings calls. Our only goal is recovery — no shareholders to answer to, just the people we serve.
Built by the people of Northern California, answerable to our community — not Wall Street, not private equity. Your gift shapes what happens here.
From donations to community sponsorships — every dollar funds a bed, a chair, a meal, or a counseling hour. Recovery is the only bottom line we track.
Sunbright Recovery Center is a nonprofit organization. Our 501(c)(3) federal tax exemption and state licensing are currently in process.
We're building what Northern California has been missing.
From your very first call, you're met with warmth and dignity. Faith-integrated support is available for those who want it — never required, never pushed. Everyone belongs here.
CBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and family systems work — proven therapies combined with whole-person care for mind, body, and spirit.
Families are welcomed into the recovery process — not kept at arm's length. We believe healing goes deeper when the people who love you are part of it. Community connection and lifelong aftercare extend that support long after treatment ends.
Sunbright Recovery Center is made possible in part through the support of Parish Health and Wellness, a longtime behavioral health provider serving Northern California.
PHW serves as a founding community partner — helping bridge clinical resources, community relationships, and operational experience as Sunbright prepares to open its doors.
This kind of partnership is what makes a community-rooted recovery center possible. We are grateful for every organization, business, and individual who has chosen to invest in this mission.
